Spokesperson for the Institute for Global Solutions and member of Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leadership Corps, Emily’s work centres on strengthening communities in their fight against the causes and effects of climate change.
From her work as a youth ambassador for the BC Green Party to developing and organizing a BC-first youth voting program and co-founding Community Earth’s Coffee-Ground renewal program.
Based in Victoria, BC, Emily is excited about (and loves to share) the possibilities of a more sustainable future.
Maiya MacMaster - Co director
Member of the Institute for Global Solutions program, media/website designer, and leader of youth inclusion programs in our community.
Maiya is passionate about local, sustainable, and ethical living. Her work centres around building relationships between local people and local businesses - and educating creative minds about ways they can live more sustainably. Alongside Emily, she founded Community Earth’s coffee ground renewal program, and has many more exciting projects in the works.
Based in Victoria BC, Maiya can't wait to be involved in building strong community connections, and working to preserve our beautiful island (and world) for generations to come ~
